Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Group is representing a Leeds-based Chartered Accountants firm offering an Audit & Accounts Semi Senior position. The role focuses on leading statutory audits, year-end accounts under FRS 105/102 (including consolidations), and tax computations.

You will supervise juniors, liaise with clients, and contribute to advisory tasks such as tax planning and due diligence. Hybrid working, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and study support are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an accountancy practice
• Part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA/AAT
• Experience in accounts preparation
• Confident dealing with clients and building relationships
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage

Responsibilities

• Leading statutory audit assignments
• Preparing year-end accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102, including group consolidations
• Supervising and supporting junior members of the team
• Preparing corporation tax computations
• Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT and general accounting queries
• Getting involved in advisory work such as tax planning, due diligence and business valuations

Audit & Accounts Semi Senior - Leeds - Up to £40,000 DOE

A well-established and independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Leeds, providing a wide range of accountancy, audit, tax and advisory services to SMEs, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients. The firm has a friendly and supportive culture, with a strong focus on client service, professional development and progression.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has at least 2 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
• Is ideally part-qualified or qualified ACA, ACCA or AAT
• Has solid experience in accounts preparation
• Is confident dealing directly with clients and building strong relationships
• Can work independently whilst also contributing effectively within a wider team
• Has experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
