Job summary

Sharp Consultancy in Barnsley is expanding its audit team and seeks an Audit Semi Senior to support audits from planning to completion, working with owner-managed and larger clients. You’ll gain exposure to accounts and broader client work, with regular client contact to develop technical knowledge and confidence in a client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualification or part-qualified ACCA/ACA.

Job description

A well-established accountancy practice is continuing to grow its audit team in Barnsley and is looking to bring in an Audit Semi Senior. The firm has a strong reputation across the region, working with a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and larger clients, and offers a supportive environment where people can develop a long-term career in practice.

In the role, you’ll support the delivery of audits from planning through to completion, while also getting exposure to accounts and wider client work. You’ll work closely with more senior members of the team and have regular contact with clients, giving you the opportunity to develop both your technical knowledge and confidence in a client-facing environment.

This would suit someone with previous practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their audit career. You may be AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA or working towards a qualification, but the key thing is that you have a genuine interest in developing within audit and want to join a firm where progression is available.

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACCA/ACA
