Our team in London and the Midlands currently has an opening for a External Account Manager - Food

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Responsible for the delivery of monthly / quarterly / annual Gross Profit budget.
  2. Developing customer relationships using effective sales techniques and the company’s sales procedures.
  3. Manage accounts against set targets, including mandatory face-to-face sales call quotas each month.
  4. Business development of sourcing and converting new trading accounts.
  5. Maintain a sales plan for the area, monitoring and mapping time scales and actions required to achieve growth.
  6. Maintain customer pricing, updating, communicating, and negotiating where needed.
  7. Continuously seek new market and product sales opportunities, recording projects and updating CRM.
  8. Liaise with appropriate TSMs to maximise sales opportunities.
  9. Monitor, evaluate, and report on competitors’ activities to identify sales opportunities.
  10. Contribute to industry and company product development to maximise sales opportunities.
  11. Complete visit reports daily, enabling relevant team members to follow up on actions.
  12. Assist in managing working capital targets, including reducing bad debtors.
  13. Contribute to budgeting by forecasting sales and profit within the sales area.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Experience of B2B sales is essential.
  • Previous experience as an account manager, ideally within the food industry or similar.
  • Proven track record in increasing sales figures and margins within a competitive and mature market.
