An entrepreneurial food business, respected for its fresh, innovative products, is continuously expanding its dynamic team. They are now seeking a QA Manager to help drive the delivery of the highest quality products for their discerning customers.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Technical Manager, you will work as part of a small but highly capable team to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and legality. Your responsibilities include overseeing the factory technical function, supporting the implementation and maintenance of Technical and Quality Standards across the site, and working closely with Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day factory operations. You will address non-conformances and food safety risks promptly and effectively, manage complaint investigations, audit procedures, and liaise with key customer contacts to analyze, resolve, and prevent technical issues.

You will also lead your team of QAs and QCs to promote a “right first time” culture through effective management of robust QA systems in line with the latest legislation, providing training and development opportunities.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an exceptional Quality Assurance Manager with comprehensive experience in a complex chilled manufacturing environment. Experience managing and implementing HACCP and BRC standards with a proven track record of excellence is essential. You should be ambitious, driven, and possess excellent technical knowledge and a strong understanding of quality assurance requirements.

Furthermore, you must have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels. The role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, with agility to manage change, identify new opportunities, and grow with the business.
