Position: Exterior Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Chester, Selby & Livingston

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking an Exterior Maintenance Supervisor to join our dedicated team and manage the Chester, Selby & Livingston exterior branches. If you are passionate about developing staff and providing excellent customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role

This field-based team leadership role focuses on supporting the local Technicians in their day-to-day roles and assisting your line manager in delivering service excellence to our customers. You will be responsible for achieving specific KPIs set out by the business, with the Area Operations Manager remaining accountable. Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the direct supervisor and line manager for maintenance technicians in the branches.
• Providing frontline support in customer engagement to help drive the business forward.
• Assisting the Area Operations Manager in optimising the productivity of the Technician team.
• Ensuring quality control measures are followed and regularly checked, as well as carrying out quality audits on customer sites.
• Supporting the TPA (Technical Performance Assessment) process and assisting the Area Operations Manager in creating development plans for Technicians.
• Overseeing procurement processes and ensuring Technicians have the necessary equipment and preparations.
• Offering daily technical support and assisting with training Technicians on the frontline.
• Spending at least four days a week in the field.
• Leading the team in developing and implementing 'Best Practices' for service delivery.
• Supporting branch administrators in planning and organising routes for the branch technicians.
• Handling customer complaints and queries as necessary, with support from branch operations managers & local business development managers/national account managers.
• Supporting surveys when required to establish accurate requirements.
• Occasionally covering maintenance contractual work when needed.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years, with no more than six penalty points.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a working environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Technician role.
• Self-motivated and an excellent problem solver.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Resilient with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work unsupervised and well under pressure.
• Experience in managing within a service delivery environment is advantageous but can be provided through training.
• Flexibility with working patterns to support business needs.
