Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is seeking an Operational Care Specialist for Sea Logistics OCC in the Liverpool area. You will manage bookings, documentation, carrier coordination and ensure timely, high‑quality service for export shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding or transport planning, ideally Seafreight.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms, shipment types, forwarding processes, and regulatory requirements.
• High level of organisation, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong customer service orientation and cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and manage time‑critical tasks with deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with good systems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and align customer deliverables with customers, carriers, partners and suppliers for smooth cargo movement.
• Deliver customer engagement, satisfaction, retention and reactivation with Field Sales and maintain operational relationships.
• Ensure regular communication with existing customers and timely shipment updates.
• Review and validate shipping instructions ensuring compliance with regulations and routing requirements.
• Execute bookings, generate documentation, update systems and communicate shipment details accurately.
• Monitor carrier performance, address deviations and resolve rate or performance issues.
• Act as main contact for services in scope and maintain daily communication with customers and offices.
• Assist with onboarding of new colleagues and with new customer implementations.
