Job summary

Ethero is recruiting an Export/Import Administrator for a busy transport business at Hams Hall, Coleshill. Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00. The role offers circa £31,000 plus benefits.

You will prepare and process import/export documentation, coordinate shipments with hauliers and freight forwarders, assist with customs clearance and maintain accurate records. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in an import/export, freight forwarding, customs, shipping or logistics role.
• Understanding of import/export procedures and documentation.
• Excellent coordination and administrative abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organised with ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process import and export documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with hauliers, freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers and customers.
• Assist with customs clearance and ensure documentation meets all relevant requirements.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing timely updates where required.
• Check the accuracy of commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and related paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and customs documentation.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure the smooth movement of goods.
• Investigate and resolve delivery, documentation and shipment issues.
• Ensure all import and export procedures comply with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Provide general administrative support to the Transport Operations and Planning Manager and wider logistics team
