Brigade Electronics, a global market leader in reversing safety and all-round visibility for commercial vehicles, is seeking an ambitious Export Business Development Manager to join our Brigade family. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving results and achieving significant international growth. This is an exciting opportunity to drive export sales of our established products while leading the development and adoption of innovative connected solutions. Your focus will be on expanding our market presence, building strategic relationships, and implementing cutting-edge technology to enhance safety, efficiency, and data insights globally

Key Responsibilities:

Export Sales Management

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets across assigned export regions.
  • Identify, approach, and onboard new distributors and partners, establishing long-term relationships to drive revenue.
  • Manage key accounts, providing support, training, and product knowledge to strengthen distributor partnerships.
  • Regularly analyse market trends, competition, and customer feedback to adjust and optimise sales strategies

Connected Solutions Business Development:

  • Lead initiatives to introduce Brigade’s connected solutions (including IoT, fleet telematics, and data analytics) to export markets.
  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to adapt solutions to market requirements, ensuring they meet local regulations and customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell connected solutions to existing clients and partners, educating them on the value and benefits of integrated, connected safety systems.
  • Act as a bridge between customers and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and satisfaction with connected services.

Market Expansion and Legislative Insight:

  • Monitor and evaluate industry developments, especially around safety regulations, and leverage these insights to identify business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to drive awareness, develop promotional materials, and tailor messaging for specific regions or connected solutions.
  • Attend relevant trade shows, industry events, and conferences to build networks and increase Brigade’s brand visibility.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular updates, forecasts, and reports to senior management on sales progress, market insights, and emerging opportunities.
  • Analyse data from connected solutions, providing insights to clients on operational improvements and identifying value-added services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in export sales, business development, or related roles within the vehicle safety, automotive, or IoT sectors.
  • Technical Acumen: A sound understanding of vehicle safety products, connected solutions, IoT, telematics, or data-driven business models in a B2B environment.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, developing customer relationships, and growing revenue streams.
  • Strategic Insight: Ability to analyse market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform business strategies.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel internationally, primarily to the Far East for client meetings, distributor support, and trade events, is a significant aspect of this position, which will focus on regions outside of Europe and North America
