Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a role involving use of explosives in an industrial environment.
• Degree in a science or engineering discipline preferably related to mining, quarrying or geology.
• Specialist training in Shotfiring, Explosives Supervisor, blast design software, photogrammetry, and drone operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe and best practice in all activities.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and practices.
• Develop procedures to support new technologies.
• Undertake site drone surveys.
• Process data for fragmentation and blast performance analysis.
• Monitor vibration units and calibrate blasting equipment.
• Provide project/blast consultancy and statistical analysis.
• Maintain good customer relations and support industry training.
