Job summary

Crown Garage in Norwich is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our independent, long-established workshop. This full-time role is Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, 42.5 hours per week, with no weekends, and a salary range of £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience.

You will service and maintain a varied range of vehicles, carry out diagnostics and fault finding, and perform general mechanical repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, tyres and air-conditioning.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Able to diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Full UK driving licence.
• MOT tester training paid for or willingness to train.

THE ROLE

You'll work on a varied range of vehicles, carrying out:

• Servicing and maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault-finding

• Air-conditioning
• MOT testing, if qualified

You’ll work alongside an experienced technician and apprentice, with our director also working in the workshop and carrying out MOTs.

ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON?

We're looking for someone who:

• Has Level 3 qualifications or equivalent experience
• Is confident diagnosing and repairing vehicles
• Takes pride in producing quality work
• Can work independently and use their initiative
• Is reliable, professional and a good team player
• Holds a full UK driving licence

Already an MOT tester? Excellent.

Not qualified yet? No problem. We'll pay for your MOT tester training if you're the right person for the role.
