P & A Wood, an authorised Rolls-Royce and Bentley service dealer, seeks an experienced trimmer or upholsterer to work on prestigious motor cars. You will blend traditional craftsmanship with modern restoration standards, handling leathers, fabrics, timber frames, carpets, headlinings and convertible hoods with meticulous attention to detail.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate sewing, hand stitching, skiving, binding and dismantling/refitting interior components, delivering consistently

Qualificações

• Experience in automotive trimming, upholstery, restoration or related craft is essential.
• Strong practical skills in sewing, skiving, hand stitching and binding.

Responsabilidades

• Trim using fine automotive leathers and fabrics.
• Prepare timber and ash frames for upholstery work.
• Fit carpets and floor coverings, headlinings and convertible hoods.
• Upholster traditional seat cases and frames to high-quality finish.
• Dismantle and refit interior components with precision.

The Role

This is an opportunity for an experienced trimmer or upholsterer to work on some of the world's most prestigious motor cars, combining traditional craftsmanship with the highest standards of modern automotive restoration.

• Fine automotive leathers and fabrics
• Timber and ash frames
• Carpets and floor coverings
• Headlinings
• Convertible hoods
• Traditional seat upholstery and trim

You will be expected to demonstrate strong practical skills in:

• Sewing and skiving
• Hand stitching and binding
• Restoring traditional sprung seat cases and frames
• Working with both hand and power tools
• Dismantling and accurately refitting interior components
• Achieving a consistently high-quality finish

Previous experience within automotive trimming, upholstery, restoration or a related specialist craft is essential.

Working Hours

Monday–Friday: 7.30am–5.30pm

Salary & Benefits

• Salary negotiable, depending on experience, skills and knowledge
• 29 days' paid annual leave, increasing to 31 days after 2 years' qualifying period
• Membership of our profit share scheme following a qualifying period
