Job summary

Atlas Contract Furniture Limited is seeking a diligent upholstery operative with furniture manufacturer/upholstery experience. You will pattern, cut, sew, tack, measure materials and work with accuracy, either independently or as part of a team.

The role demands good spoken and written English, reliability, and physical fitness for lifting; interview includes a paid trial day. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Job description

The successfull applicant will be able to hit the ground running, having excellent attention to detail, be able to read clear handovers and work to high standards. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills required

• Relevant up-to-date experience in a Furniture Manufacturer/upholstery role
• Be able to do all aspects of Upholstery, including patterning, cutting, sewing, tacking.
• The ability to take accurate measurements and work out amounts of materials
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good spoken and written English
• Patience and perseverance
• Good level of fitness as this role will require some lifting of units
• Be dependable and professional and a team player
• Be resourceful and self-confident
• Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision
