Job summary

Rainham Steel in Essex is seeking an Experienced Shearline Operator to join our team at the Rainham depot. You will report to the warehouse manager and ensure a safe, tidy workspace while cutting steel rebar on an automatic cutting machine according to schedule.

The role requires careful attention to detail, good English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position is full-time, permanent, with a competitive salary up to £43k per year and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Cutting steel rebar from stock on an automatic cutting machine to suit schedule requirements.
• Assess the work and optimise cutting from stock lengths with minimal scrap.
• Assemble bundles for packing.
• Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling.
• Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary.

Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Essex, RM13 9PF

Salary: up to £43k per year (£19.52p/h) depending on experience

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Basic working hours 6am -3.30pm Mon-Fri, 42.5 hour Per week
