Job summary

Academics Ltd is partnering with a friendly primary school in Leigh-on-Sea to recruit an experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant for 1:1 pupil support in Year 3 with an EHCP. The role is part-time, mornings only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-12:00pm, starting 2nd November and continuing at least until Christmas with potential for extension.

The ideal candidate will have prior SEND experience in a primary setting, be patient and nurturing, and capable of building strong relationships with pupils

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with an EHCP
• Assist with learning activities and classroom tasks during morning sessions
• Support pupil engagement, behaviour, and confidence in learning

Are you a compassionate, patient and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant looking for your next opportunity?

I'm working closely with a lovely primary school in Leigh-on-Sea who are looking for a dedicated SEND LSA to provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 pupil with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference to a child's learning, development and confidence in a supportive primary school environment.

The Role:

• Location: Leigh-on-Sea


• Start date: Monday 2nd November, following half-term


• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-12:00pm


• Initial duration: Until at least Christmas, with a strong possibility of a longer-term or permanent position for the right candidate


• Year 3 pupil with an EHCP requiring dedicated support

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEND in a primary school setting


• Is patient, nurturing and able to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils


• Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning and developmental needs


• Is proactive, reliable and passionate about helping children reach their full potential


• Works well alongside the class teacher and wider school team
