We are looking for an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Wirral, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis. About the role

As a 1:1 Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a young person with their learning, development and wellbeing. You will build positive relationships, encourage engagement and help create a safe, supportive environment where pupils can flourish.

The successful candidate will be confident supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviour and will have a calm, patient and consistent approach. Every day can bring something different, so we are looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and isn't afraid to get involved!

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN school or specialist setting.
• Has strong experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour.
• Is confident managing behaviour in a calm, positive and consistent way.
• Is proactive and enthusiastic about engaging with pupils.
• Can build trusting and positive relationships with young people.
• Is patient, resilient and understanding.
• Is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their potential.
• Is willing to get involved and go the extra mile to make a difference.
