Job summary

The Supply Register is seeking a caring SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis in a Southport primary setting. You will work closely with the class teacher to tailor activities and resources to the learner's needs.

You will help develop social, emotional and academic skills in a welcoming, inclusive environment and support behaviour management as required. A valid DBS on Update Service is preferred to join our trusted network of local schools in Southport and beyond.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school or SEN setting.
  • Understanding of supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties.
  • Compassionate, patient and proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs.

SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support Primary School)

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child s education?

We re looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across a number of schools in Southport.

In this rewarding role, you ll provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs, helping them build confidence, develop their skills and reach their full potential. You ll play a key role in creating a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to thrive.

What You ll Be Doing
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and resources to meet individual needs.
