Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a production operator in Redditch to join a busy manufacturing team. The role involves operating lathes and other machinery, following safety procedures, and contributing to quality checks. The position offers a clear path to permanent contract after a trial period.

You will work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a starting rate of £15.00 per hour that rises with experience; benefits include weekly pay, pension contributions, and access to Perks at Work.

Qualifications

• use of lathes and other machinery is a key requirement; experience with lathes, friggi and beringer is a massive advantage.
• experience as a saw operator; forklift (FLT) experience is an advantage but not essential.
• operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
• carry out basic maintenance and quality checks.
• work as part of a supportive, fast-paced team.

Contract: Full time

Weekly hours: 40

Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm

Our client, a leading supplier of non-ferrous metals in the United Kingdom, specialising in semi-finished products made of aluminium, copper, brass and bronze.

Role Details

• Use of lathes, friggi, beringer, a massive advantage

• Experienced saw operator, FLT an advantage but not essential

• Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the production process
• Carrying out basic maintenance and quality checks
• Working as part of a supportive, fast-paced team

Weekly shift Monday to Friday

• 8:00am - 17:00pm
