Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting for a Vessel Fabricator to join a busy engineering operation in Newhall. The role covers fabrication, assembly, inspection and repair of pressure vessels, working from detailed drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

You will fabricate vessels to exact dimensions, operate guillotines, presses and welding equipment, and document work and materials used.

Qualifications

• Familiar with welding and fabrication standards.
• Experience reading engineering drawings.
• Metallurgy knowledge related to vessel fabrication.
• Safety-conscious and quality-focused.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and standards.
• Fabricating vessels to the required dimensions and specifications.
• Using guillotines, presses and welding equipment.
• Inspecting completed vessels for defects and ensuring quality.
• Supporting hydrostatic, dimensional and visual testing.
• Accurately documenting completed work and materials used.
• Maintaining fabrication machinery, tools and equipment.
• Following health & safety procedures and industry standards.
