Job summary

Pertemps North Midlands is recruiting for an experienced Vessel Fabricator to join a well-established engineering operation in the UK. You will fabricate pressure vessels, read detailed drawings, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

The role involves assembling and testing components, using guillotines, presses and welding equipment, and maintaining machinery while following health and safety guidelines. A strong team player with meticulous attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Vessel Fabricator or similar heavy engineering role.
• Technical welding/fabrication qualifications.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of safety standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and standards.
• Fabricate vessels to required dimensions and specifications.
• Use fabrication equipment such as guillotines, presses and welding equipment.
• Assemble and prepare components for pressure vessel manufacture.
• Attach fittings, valves and accessories per vessel designs.
• Inspect vessels for defects and ensure quality standards.
• Support hydrostatic, dimensional and visual testing.
• Document completed work and materials used.
• Maintain fabrication machinery, tools and equipment.
• Follow health and safety procedures and industry standards.
