Trent Precast Concrete Ltd is a privately owned company part of the JRL Group, specializing in precast components, based in Skelmersdale. We are seeking an Experienced Precast & GRC Design Manager to lead and further develop a growing design team, delivering robust manufacturing-ready designs for structural and architectural precast elements.

The role requires 3+ years in precast detailing, experience with GRC design, and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in precast & structural detailing essential.
• CEng / MICE or working towards would be advantageous.
• Experience within GRC design and manufacture.
• Experience of using CAD software and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to help lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to Senior Management with project status and reports.
• Leading design development and engineering of components to work for manufacturing.
• Ability to review manufacture drawings from a factory perspective and raise concerns with Management and comment on any requirements.
• Ensuring all required information is gathered and re-laid to the manufacturing team both on the manufacture drawings and in a simple document.
• Liaising between clients and own team to ensure smooth flow of information.
• Leading a small design team and ability to sign off on manufacture proposals

Requirements of Precast Design Engineer / Manager

3 yrs+ Experience within precast & structural components detailing and manufacturing essential.
