Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd, part of the JRL Group, specializes in precast structural and architectural units and is based in Skelmersdale.

They are seeking an Experienced Precast Design Engineer/Manager to lead a small design team, develop components for manufacture, and liaise between clients and manufacturing. The role reports to senior management and requires CAD experience and a background in precast and GRC design.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs+ experience in precast and structural detailing and manufacturing.
• CEng / MICE or working towards would be advantageous.
• Experience in GRC design and manufacture.
• Experience using CAD software and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to lead a small design team.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to Senior Management with project status and reports.
• Leading design development and engineering of components to work for manufacturing.
• Ability to review manufacture drawings from a factory perspective and raise concerns with Management and comment on any requirements.
• Ensuring all required information is gathered and re-laid to the manufacturing team both on the manufacture drawings and in a simple document.
• Liaising between clients and own team to ensure smooth flow of information.
• Leading a small design team and ability to sign off on manufacture proposals
