Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd, part of the JRL Group, is seeking an Experienced Precast & GRC Design Manager to lead and grow a design team in Skelmersdale. The role focuses on precast and GRC components, requires 3+ years of detailing/manufacturing experience, and values CAD proficiency. CEng/MICE progression is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in precast & structural components detailing and manufacturing.
• CEng / MICE or working towards would be advantageous.
• Experience in GRC design and manufacture.
• Experience of using CAD software and ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to help lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Report to Senior Management with project status and reports.
• Lead design development and engineering of components for manufacturing.
• Review manufacture drawings from a factory perspective and raise concerns with Management.
• Ensure all required information is gathered and re-laid to the manufacturing team on drawings and documents.
• Liaise between clients and internal team to ensure smooth flow of information.
• Lead a small design team and sign off on manufacture proposals.

Requirements of Precast Design Engineer / Manager

• 3 yrs+ Experience within precast & structural components detailing and manufacturing essential.
