Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd in Nottingham is seeking an Estimator / Surveyor to join their growing team. You will produce quotations from BOQs and drawings, read GA plans, and track costs and variations while liaising with senior management to align programmes with casting schedules.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years precast/architectural concrete estimating experience.
• Ability to read manufacture drawings and GA’s.
• Experience producing contract reports and tracking costs against quotations.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to General Manager and producing quotations for new tenders and projects from BOQs and client drawings.
• Liaising with Senior Management on programmes and casting schedules to match projects with workflow.
• Producing commercial reports for Senior Management on a monthly basis.
• Keeping costing and job surveying up to date and tendering for work to grow workload.
• Building relationships with clients to secure repeat business and manage variations.

Requirements Of Estimator / Surveyor

• 3-5yrs Precast / Architectural Concrete estimating experience essential – (Structural precast and cladding preferred).
• Focus driven individual capable of working to deadlines.
• Good communicator and able to work on own initiative.
• Ability to understand and read manufacture drawings, GA’s, undertake precast take offs from client drawings (structural & architectural).
• Experience of producing contract reports and tracking job costing against quotations.

• Tendering for work with new and existing clients to build on existing work load.
• Building relationships with clients to ensure consistent repeat business and that expectations are met.
• Tracking variations, expenditures and designs against quotations.
