Job summary

Shevington Surgery is seeking an experienced Physician Associate to join our supportive clinical team in Wigan. The PA will work within the multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care across acute and chronic presentations and developing their primary care experience.

The successful candidate will be GMC registered (or in progress), have at least 2 years post-qualification experience, and join a practice with two established Physician Associates, strong education ethos and extensive

Qualifications

• Qualified Physician Associate with GMC registration (in progress acceptable).
• Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in secondary care.
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients within PA scope.
• Take histories and perform examinations with thorough documentation.
• Develop and implement management plans for varied conditions.
• Escalate appropriately when specialist input is required.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement and service development.
• Provide home visits when required and maintain records.
