Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd is seeking a Part II Architectural Assistant to join a Lancashire team focused on residential projects from concept through to construction. You’ll work closely with directors and gain hands-on involvement across design development, planning, detailing and project delivery.

The role offers genuine ownership as experience grows, with opportunities to progress towards running projects and coordinating with consultants and clients in a friendly, design-led practice.

Qualifications

• Part II Architectural Assistant with at least 1 year of professional experience.
• Experienced Part I Architectural Assistant seeking the next step.
• Candidates with UK practice experience and understanding of the planning process.
• Strong passion for residential architecture and high quality design.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and planning submissions.
• Produce presentation and drawing packages.

A growing design-led architecture and design & build business is looking to appoint a talented Part II Architectural Assistant to join its close-knit team in Lancashire.

You'll work closely with experienced directors and gain hands-on involvement from concept and planning through to technical delivery and construction.

The practice specialises primarily in residential architecture and offers a unique environment where architecture, interiors, construction and development sit under one roof.

The Opportunity

You'll be involved across a broad range of residential projects, supporting design development, planning applications, technical detailing and project delivery.

Unlike larger practices where responsibilities can be heavily segmented, you'll gain genuine project ownership and the opportunity to develop into a project-running role as your experience grows.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing design concepts and planning submissions
• Producing presentation and drawing packages
• Assisting with technical design and construction information
• Creating 3D models and visualisations
• Attending site visits and project meetings
• Coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients
• Supporting projects from inception through to completion

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Part II Architectural Assistants - Minimum 1 year professional experience
• Experienced Part I Architectural Assistants looking for the next step
• Candidates with UK practice experience and an understanding of the planning process
• Individuals with a genuine passion for residential architecture and high-quality design
