Recruit Build is working with one of the UK's leading care home developers to appoint an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join its in-house Architectural Design Team near Leeds.
This is an opportunity for a genuinely well‑rounded architectural professional who can combine design flair and strong 3D visualisation skills with technical ability, construction detailing and practical experience of live projects.
This is not a role for someone fresh out of university. We are looking for somebody with at least four years' practical architectural experience, including meaningful post-Part 2 experience working on live projects within a commercial environment.
You'll be involved across the full development process, from assessing potential sites and early feasibility work through planning, technical design and construction delivery.
Working closely with the land, development and construction teams, your responsibilities will include:
You will be a Part 2 Architectural Assistant with strong all-round experience and the confidence to work within a fast-paced commercial environment.
The business designs, develops and constructs its own purpose-built care homes throughout the UK, meaning the architectural team is involved much earlier and for much longer than would typically be the case within a traditional architectural practice.
You could be helping the land team assess a potential development site one day, developing a planning scheme the next and then working through detailed construction information on another live project.
For someone who wants broad exposure across design, development and construction, it offers excellent experience and genuine long-term career potential as the business continues to grow.
If you're an experienced Part 2 Architectural Assistant who combines strong design and 3D visualisation skills with real technical and construction knowledge, this is an opportunity well worth exploring.
