Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our established engineering and manufacturing operation specialising in switchgear and electrical distribution equipment. You will assemble switchgear units, enclosures, panels and related components from engineering drawings, using hand and power tools to exacting standards and to specification.

The role demands strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a production team,

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting/assembly in engineering/manufacturing.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and instructions.
• Proficient in drilling, tapping, cutting, filing and bench fitting.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchgear units, cabinets and enclosures.
• Fit components including busbar supports, brackets and panels.
• Read and follow drawings and engineering instructions.
• Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment.
• Ensure assemblies meet quality standards.
