The TORWAVE allows for the presentation of materials to microwaves, overcoming traditional obstacles, and our machines facilitate hydro-carbon substitution, waste recycling, and energy efficiency, positioning us at the forefront of green industrial processes. We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to succeed our current engineer nearing retirement. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience with high-temperature industrial process plants and materials handling, including refractory design and installation. Reporting to the managing director, the role involves working independently after familiarization with our technologies and eventually managing the mechanical engineering department. Responsibilities include conceptual process design, drawing and design for manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of existing equipment. Key skills include intellectual rigour, technical knowledge, good communication, and collaboration skills. The role includes:

• CAD drawing using Inventor at various project stages
• Reviewing manufacturing drawings for quality control
• Diagnosing and rectifying faults
• Implementing maintenance and spares management
• Testing on pilot plants
• Managing the mechanical engineering team
• Liaising with suppliers
• Supporting procurement processes

Qualifications and skills required:

• A good degree in Engineering or related field
• Practical experience in mechanical or process engineering, especially thermal processes and materials handling
• Interest in gas/solid processing
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Ability to work remotely
• Valid UK residence and work permits
