Job summary

TP Select is looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to service, repair and diagnose faults across a range of heavy vehicles and trailers. You will work within a supportive maintenance team, with opportunities to work independently and manage time effectively.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, adherence to safety procedures and the ability to communicate clearly. A Level 2+ vehicle maintenance qualification is preferred, with salary and overtime opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience carrying out mechanical repairs, servicing and fault diagnosis on commercial vehicles and/or trailers.
• Able to work effectively to instructions, established procedures and agreed timescales.
• Comfortable working under pressure and prioritising tasks effectively.
• A reliable team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• A positive and adaptable approach, with a willingness to develop existing skills and learn new ones.
• Ideally, you will hold a relevant technical qualification at Level 2 or above, although demonstrable experience in HGV and trailer maintenance will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, maintenance and fault diagnosis across a range of HGVs and specialist trailers.
