Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is representing a reputable client seeking an experienced HGV Fleet Technician for their Littlehampton workshop. You will maintain and repair a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles, including DAF and Volvo models, in a well-equipped workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic with 5-6 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of DAF and Volvo commercial vehicles preferred but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and repair skills.
• Valid driving licence; HGV licence advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise workload and maintenance schedules efficiently.
• Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and carry out repairs.
• Maintain detailed service and repair records.
• Support out-of-hours call outs and minimise downtime.
• Assist with planned maintenance and breakdowns for fleet vehicles.
