Job summary

Horizon Parking Ltd in Preston is seeking an Experienced Groundworks Supervisor to lead on-site works and oversee groundworks tasks across the UK. The role involves overnight stays up to four nights per week and occasional night shifts to meet project needs.

The successful candidate will hold CSCS and SSSTS, have 12+ months of supervisory grounds maintenance experience, a full driving licence, and be able to work at height. A DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• 12+ months supervisory experience in grounds maintenance.
• Experience using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card and SSSTS qualification.
• Full driving licence and ability to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of on-site works, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
• Undertake general construction tasks such as paving, kerbing, bollards, drainage and concreting as required.
• Maintain health and safety compliance for the on-site team and client requirements.
• Deliver high-quality work in line with company and client expectations.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required and complete reports after works.
• Sign permits to work on-site and manage site safety for the team and public.

Experienced Groundworks Supervisor (GWSUPERNORTH) City of Preston, England

Salary: GBP21 - GBP22 per hour

Horizon Parking Ltd is a car park management company, providing our various services nationwide.

Due to business growth we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Groundworks Supervisor to join the Horizon Parking team on a permanent basis. This role will involve using ourPreston Yard as a base to complete your weekly rota/tasks and then travelling across the UK to cover the various different allocated jobs, and as such, it will require flexibility for overnight stays throughout the working week (up to 4 nights per week).

Please note - Some of the work we do requires the groundwork teams to work through the night so applicants must be flexible to work both day or night shifts if required. Please note - The successful applicant for this role will also be subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

What do I need to do…

As a Groundworks Supervisor, you are responsible for:

• Supervision of work on site, ensuring all processes are followed correctly.
• General construction work in line with client requirements, including paving, kerbing, installing bollards / machines / equipment, foundation work, drainage, finishing works, surfacing, concreting etc.
• Ensuring full compliance with company and on-site client health and safety policy and requirements.
• Delivering a high-quality work in line with company and client expectations.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required
• Completing Completion reports after completion of works using our online admin system.
• Signing permits to work on site
• Managing health and safety on site to protect your team and the public.

Experience Skills required:

• Minimum of 12 months experience of working in grounds maintenance supervisory role.
• Experience of using a range of power tools and equipment.
• CSCS Card.
• SSSTS
• Ability to work at heights.
• Full driving licence.
• 360 Excavator Operator ticket (above or below 10 tonne)

This role will require working away from home on a planned basis. Hotel accommodation and subsistence allowance is provided in line with our Expense Policy.
