Ilmor Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC 5AX Milling Setter/Operator for a day shift (8-5 Mon-Thurs, 8-4 Fri) to support high‑throughput production of precision parts.

You will set up and operate 3AX and 5AX mills, read engineering drawings with GD&T, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining safe, data-driven processes; collaborate with ME/Planning on tooling, methods of manufacture, and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained to a minimum of level 3 or above and a minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC manufacture.
• Experience in use setting of 3 & 5 axis milling machinery essential.
• Experience with Fanuc control systems essential.
• Experience with MAZAK control system preferred.
• Experience of milling on manual machinery preferred.
• Experience in CNC code generation through direct programming or CAM generation

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate 3AX and 5AX CNC mills to ensure due dates are met.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following procedures.
• Operate Matsuura and MAZAK mills to produce components to the planned schedule.
• Manage machines workload to avoid delays.
• Support other machine operator/setters in technical queries.
• Drive data driven root cause corrections and NCR actions.
• Collaborate with ME on tooling improvements and methods of manufacture.
