Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd in Preston is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. You will create technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, and prepare detailed construction information for projects nationwide.

The role involves BIM coordination, Building Regulations submissions, liaising with clients and consultants, and supporting project delivery. A UK architectural technology qualification and CIAT backing are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Background as Architectural Technician or Technologist in the UK.
• Experience within the UK construction industry.
• Qualification in Architectural Technology or related discipline.
• Excellent Revit and AutoCAD skills and BIM experience.
• Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations; CIAT accreditation or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Create technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

• Produce planning and Building Regulations submissions.

• Creating technical drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Preparing detailed construction information
• Taking designs forward through every project stage
• Producing planning and Building Regulations submissions
• Liaising with clients and project consultants
• Assisting with BIM coordination and project delivery
• Participating in meetings and site visits
• Solving technical and construction challenges

The ideal Architectural Technologist will have:

• A background as an Architectural Technician or Technologist
• Relevant experience within the UK construction industry
• A qualification in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
• Excellent Revit and AutoCAD skills
• Experience working in a BIM environment
• Sound knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Strong communication and coordination abilities
• CIAT accreditation, or a willingness to work towards it
