Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Preston, Lancashire, is seeking an Architectural Technologist to join a medium-sized studio. You will work on Education, Residential and Commercial projects, turning concepts into construction documents.

You will produce accurate 2D/3D drawings using CAD, Revit, SketchUp and related tools, ensuring compliance with building regulations and planning submissions. Site visits, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and staying current with BIM and design technologies

Qualifications

• Degree in Architectural Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other architectural software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Architects and stakeholders to develop architectural designs focusing on technical aspects and construction documents.
• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models and visuals using CAD, Revit, SketchUp and related tools.
• Assist with building regulations compliance, including planning applications and related documentation.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure design specifications are implemented and provide technical support during construction.
• Stay updated with latest technologies and building regulations.

If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you. We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Architectural firm based in Preston. They are looking for an accomplished Architectural Technologist to join their innovative team.

They are a medium sized studio with headquarters in Preston, Lancashire. They work collaboratively across their multi-disciplinary studio here on projects across various sectors including : Education, Residential and Commercial and everything in-between.

What we are looking for can be found below:

• Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Revit, and other Architectural software.
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations, planning policies, and construction processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Experience with sustainable design principles and Building Information Modelling (BIM) is advantageous.

Some of the responsibilities of the Architectural Technologist will include:

• Collaborating with Architects and other stakeholders to develop Architectural designs, focusing on technical aspects and construction documents.
• Preparing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, models, and visuals using advanced architectural software (CAD, Revit, Sketchup, etc.).
• Assisting with building regulations compliance, including creating and submitting planning applications, building control drawings, and related documentation.
• Conducting regular site visits to ensure design specifications are being implemented accurately and provide technical support during the construction phase.
• Continuously staying updated with the latest technological advancements and building regs.
