Vets for Pets Bishopbriggs is seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Assistant to join our practice. This part-time role covers 30 hours per week with one in three Saturdays. You will assist Vets and Nurses, support reception duties, and help ensure excellent patient and client care throughout busy days.

Previous experience as an Animal Care Assistant is essential, and you will be part of a friendly team dedicated to top-quality pet healthcare and customer service.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Animal Care Assistant to join our Bishopbriggs Vets for Pets practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

You will assist all colleagues with duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient and customer care. This role will include working some reception shifts.

This is a Part Time role working 30 hours per week. There is also 1 in 3 Saturday shift.

Previous experience as an Animal Care Assistant is essential.

The attributes required

• You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
• You will support our Vets and Nurses with patients’ needs during consults and hospitalisation.
• You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the patients and clients’ needs.
• You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
• You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
• Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
