Job summary

KTA, a multi-award winning architectural studio based in Exeter and Plymouth, is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Architect for a full-time role based in Exeter. You will lead projects from concept through completion, developing design solutions, coordinating drawings and models, and ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Architectural and BIM skills to develop, coordinate, and manage high-quality designs using Revit.
• Project management from planning through construction oversight.
• Experience with submittals, drawings, NBS specifications, and technical documents with contractors and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a multidisciplinary studio environment and with clients.
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience, ideally in KTA’s key sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from concept through completion.
• Develop design solutions and produce/coordinate drawings and models.
• Ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with directors, internal teams, consultants, and clients.
• Oversee project documentation, submittals and approvals.
• Support construction phases and integrate BIM and sustainable design principles.
