This role will provide proactive, high-level support to the members of University Executive Board (UEB) and other senior colleagues. Work will often be confidential and urgent, so the postholder will be expected to use initiative and sound judgement to maintain the work schedule of these senior staff. The post holder will be responsible for supporting high-level internal meetings, including groups within the University’s governance structure.

Your Duties Will Include

  • supporting committees and meetings by preparing agendas, taking minutes, and tracking actions
  • liaising with a wide range people, both internal and external stakeholders
  • undertaking projects and other activities to support Executive Board priorities and the Vice-Chancellor's Office

You will have experience as an executive or personal assistant, or be an experienced university administrator who is looking to apply your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting the University’s most senior leaders.

To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have
  • a proactive, can-do attitude, and an ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • highly developed oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
  • an ability to respond to changing priorities, often at short notice
  • exceptional interpersonal skills and confidence in engaging with a wide range of people
  • confidence in handling complex and confidential matters

This role is being offered at 29.5 hours, although requests for hours below this will be considered, depending on business need. This role is available on a job share basis.
