Job summary

East Midlands Chamber is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to translate strategy into operational excellence and lead multiple business functions. You will work with the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to deliver outstanding outcomes for members, customers and stakeholders.

The role requires senior operational leadership experience, financial acumen, and a track record in leading organisational change and continuous improvement.

• Senior operational leader with multi-function experience in a complex organisation.
• Board/Executive level influence on strategic direction.
• Strong financial management and budget experience.

• Translate the Chamber's ambitious strategy into operational excellence, ensuring outcomes for members, customers and stakeholders.
• Lead multiple business functions through senior leaders, creating a high-performing, collaborative culture.
• Provide executive oversight of performance, financial sustainability, governance and risk.
• Champion continuous improvement by driving transformational change and enhancing customer experience.
• Build trusted relationships with the Board, Executive colleagues, members and external stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and resilience.
