Job summary

Guardian Jobs is seeking a hands-on Head of Commercial & Operations (MD) to lead a highly regarded SME through its next growth phase. You will oversee strategic direction, operational execution and commercial performance with the Board and senior leadership feedback loops.

The role requires strong leadership, deep sector experience in drainage/utilities/construction and a track record of growing profitability in field-based service operations.

Qualifications

• You’ll likely be an experienced MD with a track record of leading operational, field-based or contractor-led businesses.
• Strong commercial acumen with accountability for revenue growth, profitability and business performance.
• Experience leading operational teams and earning credibility with frontline, site-based or field-service workforces.
• A practical, hands-on leadership style, ideally with experience close to frontline operations earlier in your career.
