Job summary

Scottish Renewables in Glasgow is seeking a Head of Offshore to lead its government policy work across offshore energy, with a primary focus on offshore wind. The role requires engaging with industry, government and stakeholders to influence public policy, legislation and regulation, and to represent the organisation externally.

You will lead policy development, chair industry groups, and act as a public-facing spokesperson while building strong relationships with members and external partners.

• Policy professional with experience influencing energy/public policy.
• Credibility engaging senior stakeholders and chairing groups.
• Comfort speaking across a broad offshore agenda with specialist input when needed.
• Strong communication and external representation.

Responsibilities

• Lead offshore energy policy work with a focus on offshore wind.
• Engage with the Scottish Government on planning, environmental, and consenting policy.
• Chair or co-chair industry groups addressing deployment barriers.
• Monitor policy developments and shape strategic responses.
• Contribute to thinking on offshore skills, supply chain enablers and market context.
• Act as a public-facing spokesperson, representing Scottish Renewables at events.
