Job summary

Scottish Government is seeking a Business Manager in the Offshore Wind Directorate for a 6-month temporary position. The role provides high‑level confidential support to the Director of Offshore Wind, manages the inbox and diary, and ensures effective systems are in place for efficient workflow.

• Experience in planning, organising and prioritising workloads to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to produce clear and concise written material.

Responsibilities

• Manage the director's inbox and diary to align with preferences and requirements.
• Prioritise information received into the director mailbox and manage the diary efficiently.
• Act as a liaison between Directors, Deputy Directors, and OSW colleagues, Private Office and other directorates.
• Coordinate input to corporate, ministerial and cross-government commissions.
• Provide secretariat support for meetings, including papers, minutes and action tracking.
