Job summary

Outcomes First Group is seeking an experienced Executive Headteacher to lead a portfolio of specialist schools for students with SEND. You will provide vision, direction and leadership across two sites, ensuring safeguarding, compliance and operational excellence while developing senior leaders and delivering outstanding educational outcomes.

Reporting into senior leadership, you will drive school improvement, monitor performance and build strong partnerships with Local Authorities and families.

Qualifications

• QTS and leadership experience required.
• Senior leadership across multi-site portfolios.
• Proven track record of driving school improvement.
• Extensive knowledge of SEN and specialist education.
• Strong safeguarding, compliance and quality standards knowledge.
• Experience developing senior leadership teams.
• Financial and commercial budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Analytical: translate data into improvement.
• Collaborative, resilient, solutions-focused leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire multiple school leadership teams to deliver outstanding specialist education and student outcomes.
• Set the vision, ethos and strategic direction across the portfolio, driving continuous improvement and excellence.
• Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, safeguarding, regulatory and quality standards.
• Monitor educational performance, student progress and school effectiveness, implementing improvement strategies where required.
• Develop and coach Headteachers and senior leaders, building high-performing teams and succession plans.
• Oversee curriculum quality, teaching and learning standards, and staff development across all schools.
• Lead safeguarding across the portfolio, ensuring robust systems, policies and practices are embedded.
• Manage financial performance, budgets and resources to deliver sustainable, high-quality provision.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, commissioners, families and other key stakeholders.
• Support student referrals, placement suitability and capacity planning to ensure the best outcomes for students.
• Champion the reputation and growth of the schools through stakeholder engagement, marketing and community partnerships.
