Job summary

St John Ambulance is seeking an Executive Business Manager to oversee executive governance, strategic coordination and hands-on support for senior leaders. Working with the Director of Strategy and Performance, you will shape papers, meetings and decision-making processes.

You will lead the Executive Assistant team, coordinate key meetings, and ensure priorities progress with clear actions. A strong, collaborative leader who can drive improvements and build trusted relationships with senior

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating senior leadership or Board-level meetings and governance processes.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with discretion and professionalism.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear actions and concise papers.
• Authentic, supportive leadership with experience developing a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Executive Assistant team with visible, supportive leadership.
• Coordinate senior leadership meetings, manage agendas, papers, minutes and actions.
• Connect discussions and decisions across meetings to drive progress and escalations as needed.
• Shape business discussions with senior leaders and provide constructive challenge for decision-making.
• Coordinate governance between Executive Leadership, the Board and committees to ensure oversight.
• Drive continuous improvement in meeting effectiveness and ways of working.
