  • Family leave schemes and a comprehensive range of childcare services
  • Cycle loan scheme and discounted bus travel and Season Ticket travel loans

About the role

As Executive Fellowships Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for the School’s fellowship and visitor programmes, ensuring that senior academics and practitioners are able to contribute meaningfully to its teaching, research, public engagement and wider institutional priorities. You will lead a small team and oversee the development and delivery of a high-quality fellowship experience, from building the pipeline of fellows and visitors through to their integration into the School community.

Working closely with senior Fellows, Faculty Directors, professional services colleagues, donors and partner organisations, you will develop tailored programmes that make effective use of Fellows’ expertise and networks. You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, oversee partnerships and programme resources, and ensure that fellowship and visitor activities are well coordinated, compliant and aligned with the School’s objectives.

The role also offers scope to influence how these programmes develop, identifying improvements to systems and processes and contributing to strategic initiatives across the School. Success will mean creating an environment in which Fellows and visitors can achieve significant impact while strengthening the relationships, partnerships and programmes that advance the School’s mission.

About you

You will bring experience of building trusted and impactful relationships with senior political figures, officials and/or stakeholders, alongside demonstrable success in managing and implementing strategic projects and establishing effective systems and processes. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will use diplomacy, discretion and sound judgement to inspire confidence among people at different levels of seniority.

You will have experience of building and managing a small team, together with strong influencing, negotiation and collaborative working skills that enable you to coordinate contributions beyond formal lines of authority. Excellent written and verbal communication skills will allow you to synthesise and present complex ideas clearly, concisely and persuasively.

You will also bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual agility and an interest in government, public policy or a related field, together with an affinity with the mission of the Blavatnik School of Government.

Application process

The closing date for applications is at 12 noon (UK time) on Monday 24 August 2026.

Interviews to take place during the week commencing 31 August 2026. These will be on line in the first instance with in-person interviews for the final shortlisted candidates.
