Job summary

JPMorganChase in London seeks an Executive Director to lead a team of AI practitioners in delivering agentic automation for Operations. You will set technical direction, ensure safe integration into live operations, and partner with cross-functional teams to scale value across Corporate Investment Banking.

The role requires hands-on AI system development, strong leadership, and the ability to translate business needs into engineering requirements while mentoring a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and shipping AI systems, not just managing teams.
• Experience with agentic systems in production, including orchestration and evaluation of non-deterministic behavior.
• Proven track record leading high-performing AI teams and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve shared applied AI capabilities across agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop design.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of agentic solutions for Operations processes from framing to production operation.
• Balance durable shared capabilities with solution-specific surfaces.
• Mentor AI engineers and practitioners, fostering excellence, innovation, and learning.
• Set technical direction across agent orchestration, context assembly, and evaluation of non-deterministic behavior.
• Coordinate multiple partner streams, resolve dependencies without escalation.
• Explain technical constraints to stakeholders; translate business needs into engineering requirements.
• Define evidence base and measure agent autonomy and human involvement.
• Promote best practices and stay current with AI advances.
