Job summary

Itchy Feet is seeking a seasoned Chief Risk Officer to oversee enterprise risk, compliance and financial crime frameworks in Guernsey or Jersey. You will lead the second line of defence, advise the CEO and Board, and shape risk culture to support sustainable growth.

You will chair the Executive Risk Committee, engage regulators, and drive ICAAP, stress testing and capital planning while building a high-performing Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime team.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in banking risk is essential.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management across risk categories.
• Experience engaging with Boards and regulators.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise risk management framework development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain Risk Appetite Framework aligned with strategy.
• Monitor adherence to risk appetite and report findings.
• Chair Executive Risk Committee and provide independent challenge to leadership.
• Engage with regulators on risk and controls.
• Oversee ICAAP, stress testing and capital planning.
• Develop and lead Risk, Compliance and Financial Crime team.
