Job description

Adams Street Partners (“Adams Street”) is a global private markets investment manager that has nearly $76 billion* in assets under management. The firm is 100% employee-owned, which fosters a positive and unique culture of collaboration, intellectual rigor, integrity, and a commitment to professional development. For the eighth year in a row, Adams Street was named one of Pension & Investments’ Best Places to Work in Money Management in 2025.

Employees operate as a single global team, integrating the expertise of the firm’s investment professionals across five strategies: primary investments, secondary investments, growth equity, private credit, and co-investments. Adams Street is considered a private markets pioneer and was inducted into the Private Equity Hall of Fame in 2000.

The firm was founded more than 50 years ago, and clients include leading public and corporate pension plans, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, registered investment advisors, and high net worth individuals worldwide.

Adams Street has offices in Abu Dhabi, Austin, Beijing, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Munich, Menlo Park, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.

  • As of June 30, 2026. Adams Street Partners’ methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology. This updated methodology more closely aligns with (i) the amount of assets managed on behalf of investors and (ii) the amount of capital available to make direct and/or partnership investments. Amounts stated by investment advisers in regulatory filings (“regulatory AUM”) have a prescribed methodology, which may, in some circumstances, differ from the methodology such adviser uses for other purposes, including marketing efforts. Additional information is available upon request.

Adams Street Partners is actively seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to join its growing team in London. This position will provide direct support to members of the Investments and Investor Relations teams and will also lead a team of Executive Assistants who will report directly to this role. Given our collaborative culture and administrative structure, this role will leverage strong organizational, technical, and people management skills, as well as the ability to work proactively and cohesively supporting other teams effectively. Responsibilities will include document/data management, meeting arrangements and extensive travel planning and project coordination.

Specifically, This Individual Will Be Responsible For
  • Managing complex calendars and coordinating logistics across multiple global time zones.
  • Leading, managing and developing a team of Executive Assistants, providing ongoing coaching, feedback and guidance to ensure consistently high-quality administrative support across teams.
  • Coordinating complex international and domestic travel and roadshows, including visas, flights, hotels, ground transportation and detailed itineraries.
  • Partnering with internal and external assistants to coordinate meetings and travel, ensuring seamless and consistent planning.
  • Prioritizing and managing information and correspondence, responding proactively and appropriately on behalf of stakeholders when required.
  • Anticipating needs and preparing materials for meetings, conferences and business travel.
  • Preparing and submitting accurate travel and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Welcoming clients and visitors and provide a professional experience consistent with Adams Street’s standards.
  • Coordinating all aspects of meeting preparation, including reserving and setting up meeting rooms, arranging refreshments and catering, managing audiovisual requirements and preparing materials.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date information in Salesforce, including contact details, meetings, events and conference attendance.
  • Providing back-up administrative support to colleagues as needed.
  • Performing general administrative and office support responsibilities based on the needs of the team and firm.
  • Researching, planning and coordinating team events, including holiday celebrations, team lunches and other engagement activities.
Skills
  • 6-8 years of executive assistant experience with at least two years of that experience in a private equity or financial services environment preferred.
  • Experience scheduling calendars, coordinating meetings and managing high volume of international travel.
  • Prior experience directly managing a team of Executive Assistants or administrative professionals.
  • Ability to work as a hands‑on leader who can provide executive support while also managing and developing others.
  • Commitment to anticipating needs and resolving issues while demonstrating a professional and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Must have a respect for confidential information and a mature approach to all matters of discretion.
  • Desire to learn the context of the assignments and develop industry knowledge through exposure in the workplace.
  • A professional presence with the judgment, discretion, and communication skills to build trust with senior leaders, clients, and colleagues.
