Job summary

The King's School in Ottery St Mary is seeking several Examination Invigilators to join our current team. Training will be provided, and prior experience is not required.

Roles involve supervising students, handling confidential exam papers and records, and working as part of a team. Sessions run 08:00–12:00 and 12:30–16:00, with 3–4 hour blocks; hours are variable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during examinations and handle confidential papers and documentation.
• Manage information relating to students and their assessment records.
• Support examination sessions and assist with timing and setup as required.

Job description

We are looking to appoint several enthusiasticExamination Invigilators to join our current team. The successful candidates donot need specific experience as training will be given. Although not essential,experience of working with young people (ideally in a school environment) wouldbe an advantage. You will be responsible for the supervision of students,confidential examination papers/documentation and information relating tostudents and their assessment records.This post requires strong communication skills, a good level ofliteracy, the ability to work as part of a team, as well as the ability to showinitiative.

We have work available throughout the academic year,please see the accompanying letter on our website for further details. Examination sessions run in the morning from08:00-12:00, and in the afternoon from 12:30-16:00. Each session lastsfor approximately 3-4 hours. Work is available on a variable hour’sbasis, dependent on availability. We are specifically looking to recruitinvigilators who are able to invigilate year-on-year. Training in preparation for this role will bedelivered in person and online. There will be an opportunity to shadow anexperienced invigilator for a morning and an afternoon session.
