Job summary

The Lowry Academy invites applications for a part-time Examinations Invigilator to join our dedicated team. You will admit candidates, supervise examination rooms, hand out and collect materials and ensure exams run in a quiet, orderly manner in line with JCQ regulations.

The successful candidate will communicate effectively, manage pressure, multi-task and demonstrate reliability, punctuality and attention to detail. Prior experience in education is beneficial, and training will be provided.

• Experience in the education sector is beneficial but not required.

Job description

Successful applicants will be required to work professionally as a member of an excellent team who ensure regulations are followed in a supportive environment for our students taking examinations. Duties will include admitting candidates to the examination rooms in a quiet and orderly way, handing out and collection of examination materials, vigilance whilst an examination is running. The role requires effective and confident communication, the ability to work under pressure and to multi-task. You must be able to enforce regulations firmly but fairly if necessary and deal effectively and promptly with any problem. You must be willing to attend all necessary training and adhere at all times to JCQ regulations. Punctuality, flexibility, reliability and an eye for detail are essential. Experience of working in the education sector would be beneficial but not essential.
