Job summary

E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy is seeking reliable Exam Invigilators to support the delivery of examinations across the academic year. You will help prepare rooms, supervise students, and ensure exam integrity with calm, attentive oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all materials are ready before exams.
  • Supervise students during examinations, keeping a calm and orderly environment.
  • Check attendance and seat candidates according to regulations.
  • Distribute and collect examination papers in line with rules.
  • Follow procedures and report issues to the Exams Officer promptly.

We are seeking reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to join our team and support the successful delivery of examinations throughout the academic year. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who are organised, attentive to detail and able to maintain a calm and supportive environment for students.

Key responsibilities:
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all required materials and equipment are in place before exams begin.
  • Supervise students during examinations, maintaining a calm, secure and orderly environment.
  • Check attendance registers and ensure candidates are seated according to examination requirements.
  • Distribute, collect and safely manage examination papers and materials in line with regulations.
  • Follow examination procedures and report any issues or irregularities to the Exams Officer promptly

Pay range: Zero Hour Contract - SCP4 - £13.48 per hour

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to supervise and support students effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and examination requirements.
  • Professional, reliable and able to follow procedures and regulations consistently.
  • Experience working with young people or in a supervisory role is desirable, with a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
